I’ve been watching the Raw. Vegan. Not Gross. series for a while and I adore Laura and think that the majority of what she makes looks great. Just watching her prepare food and seeing the end product inspires me to eat more veggies and nuts, haha, even if I had just been craving beef stroganoff, steak tataki, or chocolate cake just a few minutes earlier.
I really recommend watching the whole series starting from the beginning even if you’re not that interested in going raw or going vegan, but are interested in some ingredients and techniques you can incorporate into your diet to improve your health.
Laura never stipulates that not being raw and vegan is wrong, her recipes are all fairly simple and straight-forward, and her demeanor is calm and relaxed and never preachy.
I’m definitely not cut out to be a vegetarian, let alone a vegan, or even to go raw (because I believe cooking is man’s single most greatest idea, the one that has supported the most civilizations over the years, and the one that makes me the happiest, personally), but I’m a big supporter of the locally-grown, farm-to-table initiative and this is a great video with one delicious looking salad at the end and shares, I think, a great, welcoming message.
