“We Just Can’t Have You Here”

“We Just Can’t Have You Here”

This describes why I am going to wait until I have a larger, and steady income to get treatment for myself.

My freshman year went down about the same way, except I’m not a self-harmer, so the events manifested themselves differently. I was pushed out of my room, and then pushed out entirely. I kind of wish I cared more, in a way, about the school like the author did. I guess it’s better that I never created an attachment to it though, because what happened just made me angry, and didn’t devastate me.

Rabbits! New potential favorite!

Rabbits! New potential favorite!

Haha, well isn’t it like humans to attempt to place things in pre-made boxes and paradigms before they try to understand the thing itself? After reading this, I kind of really want a rabbit. Plus the fluffiness has always appealed to me.

Some of the “concerns” the author went over in this article were ones I’ve heard far too often from ex-rabbit owners, and I agree are total misunderstandings of how animals should act. A friend’s mother was telling us the other day about the rabbits their animal abusive (they’re called APL on them before) decided to purchase for their little girls, and how they tried to train them to be more submissive by starving them, and feeding them only when they’re “good.” *shudders*

Screw You, Stereotypes!

Screw You, Stereotypes!

The only thing I dislike about this article and this situation is that it makes me feel bad about myself and my meager-in-comparison intelligence and accomplishments.

But f’yeah Lyndsey Scott for having beauty and brains, being able to exercise her creativity in such different, almost contrasting ways, and being a hard enough worker and a dedicated enough person to pursue all of the things she’s achieved so far! If she can do all that, I can drop 10 pounds and gain a little muscle, learn better Chinese, and do well in school for sure. Just gotta…turn on the…motivation…damnit…

Thief with a Conscience

Thief with a Conscience

We’re not talking Robin Hood and the livelihoods of the poor here; we’re talking a man who victimized children and teenagers and videotaped it for posterity being brought to justice by a home invader. The guy even reported his house broken into, but obviously didn’t mention the tapes.

It’s a pretty delicious bit of justice and irony, I think. Also, the burglar was pretty smart about how he turned the tapes in.
