Iceland is so far beautiful, and glorious, and confusing at times. Reykjavik is lovely and eccentric and proud of its uniqueness, as it should be. Perhaps the business transactions we made today didn’t go down quite smooth (why exactly do we have to retrieve our wireless hotspot from above a post box underneath some stairs near a furniture store, and why do people think this is totally normal?!) but the people were welcoming, kind, and generous, and that’s all Mr. Chokkattu and I could ask.
Today, I saw all of these things!
We also visited the Icelandic Phallological Museum, which was much more serious than we thought it was going to be, though Bloo still made the trip…a little inappropriate.
We ended the day with an amazing dinner at Fiskmarkaðurinn, which I’ll detail a little better in another post with pictures taken by Mr. Chokkattu. Mr. Chokkattu’s extra birthday present to me, we got a 9-course tasting menu and it blew my expectations out of the water, and I’ll get those pictures up soon!
