Ellis Brooklyn Sci Fi Review

An intriguing, otherworldly blend of green tea, pink freesia, bitter orange and vanilla beans.

My first reaction was that there’s a dessert that smells just like Sci Fi. A cookie. A Girl Scout cookie? The lemon ones? My third favorite cookie to the OG Samoas and Thin Mints. Let me look them up real quick. Lemonades, ah.

Yeah, those.

Paris Je T’Aime (Day 2)

Christ, who’d would post a gallery about the second portion of their trip a month after their trip ended?! What is wrong with that person?

*Cough.*

I’ve been busy okay. And being without proper wifi much of the time doesn’t help a stitch.

Since I’ve gotten back I’ve hit the ground running at 96 Spring St., the Google experiential pop-up shop that I was conscripted to work before my trip. Between my two jobs, plus freelance work, I’ve been slammed for time. Juggling everything is actually beginning to be a problem, so I’m thinking I’ll drop something in exchange for, ya know, my life.

Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male

I have a feeling that many a person is going to disagree with me on this very vehemently.

Ah, well. Can’t be worse than my Valentino Uomo review! I’m honestly feeling particularly grumpy because I’m in pain at the moment for full disclosure, but I don’t really think being in a better mood would really effect my impression on the fragrance.

Sometimes though I do wish I had dedicated a little more time to the fragrance before writing; I don’t absolutely dislike Uomo, for instance, on myself anymore, and now appreciate the sweetness and syntheticness (and I promise, that wasn’t a sarcastic statement.) This time, I’ve put on Le Male twice now over the past few weeks and spritzed my boyfriend with it, so I think I’m as warmed up to it as I could be.  Read More

Ormonde Jayne Rose Gold

I snagged this one up during Ormonde Jayne’s promotion celebrating the British team’s 67 medals in the Olympics! Too bad the US crushed that number with 121 medals and China edged you guys out at 70 as well, though Great Britain did get more gold medals.

Details aside, everyone did well this year at the Olympics and everyone had something to celebrate in Rio. Except, of course, for Ryan Lochte’s teammates who had to face the consequences of their (and his) actions while Mr. Lochte celebrated getting the hell out of Rio in business class and out of the clutches of Brazilian law enforcement; for a little while at least.

But I digress.

Guerlain Myrrhe et Delires

Okay so I disappeared again for a month. Whoops! I’ve been working hard for money to afford books and perfume remember? I’ll post some of the fruits of my labor later this week.

I received a decant of Myrrhe et Delires as one of those fruits.

The little cap on top of my decant smells like what violet candy tastes like to most young people: violets, vanilla, resin, and soap.

Tocca Reviews: Stella & Florence

I just have to say that the samples I got from Tocca are just so, so clean. I know I mentioned it earlier, but I just wanted to drive that point in.

Tocca is great for people who aren’t really into perfume per say, but enjoy their hand soaps and shampoos (as opposed to Philosophy users who aren’t really into perfume but enjoy their hand creams and desserts.)

And on continues the reviews!
